TLV320AIC3204: SMBus Control Interface

Hi there,

I'd like to know what hardware/software changes are required to control AIC3204 with an SMBus host?

I actually found an App Note talking about this: 

Should I just follow this or is there other consideration?

Have you had any experience in controlling this device with an SMBus host?

    Hi, Roy,

    As you know, the 'AIC3204 is a device that can be controlled by I²C or SPI interface,  this part cannot be configured directly with SMBus. The app note you describe seems to be useful as a guideline to check the compatibility between an I²C slave wit a SMBus Master. We have no data or information related to this use-case for our 'AIC3204, so we cannot guarantee if the codec could be able to work in this configuration.
