PCM5122: DAC output from fixed processing flow

Hi

We want to use biquad filter, volume and monomix of processing block.

Now I refer figure 55.

We can see 1ch I2S out as the output of mono mix.

Is it possible to make mono mix out route to DAC out?

(Or 2ch interpolation filter is just DAC out?)

BestRegards

  • Hello,

The 2ch interpolation filter is the stereo output of the DAC. The ROM on PCM5122 cannot be modified to make the mono mixer output the DAC output. In this case I think you should consider the PCM5142 for its customer process flow capability or PCM5242 for its hybrid flow (specifically hybrid flow 4) capability.

You could also see if the I2S source for the PCM5122 is capable of mono mixing, so that the source is already mono.

    Thanks!

  • Hi Paul

    Thank you for your reply.

I checked PCM5142 and got the following image. I could not make mono out.

Did I get something wrong?  Could you please show me a way to make DAC output of mono-mix out with PCM5142?

  • Hi,

I created a flow for the PCM5142 which should take care of this.  Take a look at the attached file.

    Thanks!
