Hello,

Regards TAS2505,

1. Do TI have any application for connecting to NXP IMX7?

2. We don`t have experience with Speakers , Which type of Speakers TI suggested?

Thanks

  • Hi Hen,

    1. There is no previous reference design to interface with IMX7. However you can use any I2C interface to communicate with TAS2505. You can use the Application Reference Guide (www.ti.com/.../slau472.pdf) for detailed information about the TAS2505 features and its register descriptions.
    2. You can use any speaker that has at least 4 Ohm impedance (4 ohm or higher). You should also take into account the power rating of the speaker, TAS2505 is a 2 W amplifier so the speaker should be rated for this power. If power rating is lower you must reduce the output drive so the speaker is not damaged.

  • Thanks Ivan.

Do you know if TI have Microphone device?

    Thanks

  • Hen,

What is the application you're working on?
There are devices with configurable micbias output and analog inputs, like TLV320DAC3100. Is this something like what you're looking for?
There are other devices that support digital mic, like TLV320DAC3203.
Or you can also implement a preamplifier by using an op amp in case the output signal is not large enough.
