Can I collect 8 channels of different audio at the same time?

    Hi, Dai,

    Can you please provide more details about te application you are trying to accomplish? the 'AIC3268 is a stereo audio codec but under some configurations it can support more channels;  having more information will help us to provide the best solution for your application.

    I would like to use the chip in the conference system at the moment and collect audio from several MICs at the same time. Then this audio data is transmitted to the server via Ethernet and stored.

    Hi, Dai,

    Thanks for the feedback. As mentioned, the 'AIC3268 is a stereo audio codec that is capable of converting two channels of analog input data to digital stream. For your application, this device might not be suitable as it is not possible to send data of eight mics at the same time.

    Have you considered to use two PCM1864s? The PCM1864 is an audio ADC with four channel support that can send the data of the four channels at the same time in different audio formats. A solution of two of these devices might be suitable for this application.
