Hope some one can help.

would like to know if TLV320AIC3206 is the non-DSP drop-in replacement for the AIC3256 part. I'm exploring whether there is a drop-in which does not require HW or SW change as my current application does not use the DSP in the AIC3256 part yet.

Hi, Setoh,

Welcome to E2E, Thanks for your interest in our products!.

The TLV320AIC3206 is effectively the version of the 'AIC3256 without the miniDSP. Both parts are pin to pin compatible and share the same register map (with the exception of the miniDSP related registers).

You should be able to use the 'AIC3206 in your application.
