PCM1865EVM: Configuring PCM186x EVM directly from Matlab

Part Number: PCM1865EVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: PCM1865

Hi all,

I would like to configure and use PCM1865 evaluation board directly from Matlab.
PCM1865 EVM is recognized by Windows and Matlab as external audio board which makes it easy to use (collect audio samples), but to configure it I still need to use PurePath Console.
Theoretically, in order to communicate with custom board (configure it) directly from Matlab, you need to load board's drivers (DLL and header files) in Matlab and you are ready to go.

Where can I get those DLL and .h files?
And, if someone has already done something similar, any help will be much appreciated.

Best regards,
Lovre Bogdanic

  • Hi, Lovre,

The PCM1865 EVM uses a TAS1020B controller as the USB-I²C interface and it is controlled by PurePath Console. This is the first time we hear about this application, and unfortunately we don't have the tools or files to support it.If you have a system/board capable of sending I²C commands form Matlab, then you should be able to hook the I²C lines to the EVM and configure the PCM1865.
