I would like to know if there are any special considerations regarding the wiring of the Mute circuit if the amp is wired as per Bob Cordell's Super Gainclone ref fig 27.3 of his book Designing Audio Power Amplifiers.

Please see attached. You'll see it's from a Proteus simulation. The Mute switch is open with 0.00 mA but the amp is still outputting. With a non inverted amp the switch works fine. I'm sure it's just the spice model that's incorrectly configured. Not even sure where I got it from! I just wanted to make sure there is no problem with using the Mute function on an inverted amp in the real world before PCB production.
I would also like to request a sample of both the LM3886 and LM4780 before production, however, I could not figure out how to select them as samples on the TI site.

Hi Mike,
The most important effect from MUTE/UNMUTE operation is the pop noise. But you don't need to worry about it too much as long as you follow the reference design in the datasheet.
