Programming sequence for TLV320DAC32

Hi,

I need programming sequence for TLV320DAC32. I am unable to find any example programming reference documentation on this IC.

Can anybody please provide me any pointers..... i do not want to use the EVM for this purpose.

hi tim,

What are you trying to interface TLV320DAC32 with?

If you are using an FPGA or general purpose microcontroller then it involves communication via the commonly used I2C protocol, the details are as given here

If you are using a DSP processor, then it has a McASP/McBSP interface, which follows I2C protocol only, just that it needs to be setup initially, which can be found in the Audio controller documentation for the particular DSP.

Hi Tim,

Here is a document that talks about programming sequences for the AIC31xx family. The paper talks specifically about the AIC3104 but the DAC32 is pretty much register compatible with the AIC3104. Simply skip the parts pertaining to the ADC (and double check the DAC registers that you use). The sequence issues are the same.
