Hi,

I'm using c5545 booster pack for my stethoscope application. I've been using the on board aic3206 codec. But it runs on 1.8v meaning lower overall output gain compared to a 3.3v based codec. Can you recommend a 3.3v audio codec that has lowest ADC n DAC noise, with a class D or something headphone amplifier. Goal is to hear heart beats louder and noise free. Thanks in advance.

V pot,

Our Codec with lowest noise that also has a built in HP and Class-D amp is likely the LM49352. The ADC SNR is 97dB and the Dac on that device has an SNR of 103dB.

Thank you very much for the suggestion. I would like to try a eval module of the codec with c5545 dsp. Since there is no eval module avail for lm49352 audio codec anymore. Can you suggest another codec with my mentioned requirement with eval module avail to buy.?

The TLV320AIC3104 has a headphone amplifier, the TLV320AIC3107 has a headphone amplifier and Class D amplifier.
both have evaluation modules.
