TLV320DAC3100: Schematic check for customer

Hi Team,

We are penetrating our AM570x with our TLV320DAC3100. They just need the speaker, besides I2C, so I just suggest customer to use MCLK, BCLK, WCLK and DIN data lines. Can you help double check the schematic from TLV320DAC3100 side? So they can go to PCB, thank.s

Hi Sulyn,

The experts for this device will be out of office until 5/3. I reviewed the schematic and here are my comments.
1. Need I2C pull-up resistors (maybe on a different schematic page).
2. Resistance from 3.3V to GND on the VOL/MICDET pin is only 9.5kOhm. I think you want to increase this resistance in order to reduce power consumption. Our EVM uses ~100kOhm.
3. Separate analog and digital GND for best performance in layout.

Hi Sulyn,

We've reviewed the schematic and I can confirm my colleagues comments. Please follow his recommendations.
Also please see my notes below:
- What is VCC voltage on SPKVDD? Is it 3.3V as well? Please make sure that VCC is not higher than 5.5V
- DVDD and DVSS are not correctly connected. DVSS should go to GND and DVDD to 1V8 and these are currently connected the other way around.
