TPA3128D2: The customer is distorting with TPA3128D2

Part Number: TPA3128D2

Customers use TPA3128D2, Distortion in 7W

P=50W  L=15Uh  C=680Nf  f=400Khz  PVCC=22V  Gain=20dB

1.Is there any problem with this parameter

2.What's the attention to IC debugging

3.What data can provide a reference

4.What are the ways of their modulation If customers use four tpa3128D2

  • Hi Sam,
    So my understanding is that the distortion issue occurs for 7W output power, but not for 50W output power under the same condition, right? Could you please show me the waveform on the output(before and after the inductors) when outputing 7W and 50W?
    I don't think there is any problem in this configuration: L=15uH/C=680nF/Fsw=400kHz/PVCC=22V/Gain=20dB. How much is your load resistance? The device is working in BD mode or low idle current mode?
    I think the SCH shown above is from the datasheet. Is it possible to show me your SCH? Are you using the exact same design as the datasheet reference?
    You could use all of the four devices in BD mode and master mode.
    Best regards,
    Shawn Zheng
