TI network shows TPA3156D2and TPA3116D2 are pin to pin, it's TPA3116D2's PCB and data.

Hi Sam,
I think it should be OT issue when output very high power. TPA3116D2 can only output 2*50W power while TPA3156D2 can do up to 2*70W power. It means that the heatsink for TPA3156D2 should be much stronger in heat dissipation. I suppose you are using the same board for these two devices, then could you try with a much powerful heatsink for TPA3156D2 application.

Hi Sam,
From application perspective, they are pin2pin devie. TPA3116D2 can be replaced directly by TPA3126D2 in the existing design due to their output power ability is about the same. But TPA3156D2 usually outputs higher power, so it needs more powerful heatsink.
