TAS5731M: TAS5731M BQ issue

Part Number: TAS5731M
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: PCM1808

Hi, I have one question need your help ,the question is that we use the BQ,which is test OK in the TAS5731M demo board to Burning into our amplifier board with Bluetooth module,we find the the frequency response curve out of the test and the frequency response curve in the demo board test is inconsistent, obviously the high frequency part of the demo board weakened a lot,What causes it?

1. The purple is the curve of the demo board, the green is the 5731m board painted by myself, the eq is the same, obviously the treble of the demo board is much lower

  • Hi Darren,
Before my colleague gives more comments, could you please help to give the following info?
Could you please give out the SCH for your board? The register configuration is totally the same between EVM and your board, right? Could you please also show us the register configuration? Are you using totally the same load for the measruement on the two boards?
  • the SCH and register configuration is the same between EVM and our board. because the input Sound path is different between the demo and customer board, the demo is give sound from PCM1808(ADC) to TAS5731M, however, the customer board sound is be gave to Bluetooth module, which internal ADC inside,so we use the demo output of PCM1808 to be as the input for Bluetooth module we can find frequency response curve is the same, So we think it's possible that PCM1808 has high frequency filtering cut off? could you help check it,Because of concerns about consistency in mass production.
  • Hi Darren,

Thank you for the explanation. We know that there is high frequency components loss for 2Vrms input configuration on the MC57xxPSIA board. Could you please try to close the jumper JP2 and JP3 to set 1Vrms config on that board? Please find more detailed explanation in this post:

And the SCH for MC57xxPSIA is also attached,
