Is it possible to enter Standby mode by turning /RESET low? Will it be harmful for the chip to hold /RESET low for a long time? Thanks

Dimitri, /RESET low puts the device into what we call Reset mode, an off state with the lowest quiescent current mode. Is this what you mean? There is no problem holding /RESET low. Data sheet SLES220B provides all the details about the operation of /RESET and Reset mode.
