TAS5825M: TAS5825M DSP configuration Questions

Part Number: TAS5825M

Hi, Team,

We have questions for the TAS5825M. A customer system is L/R(BTL) + SubWoofer(PBTL), sampling rate is 192kHz

1. For DSP
Is it possible to use TAS5825M without DSP(bypass)? I means the customer want to check the TAS5825M basic function on the customer board.

2. For 8.6.1.13 DSP_PGM_MODE Register (Offset = 40h) [reset= 0x10]
How should we use the DSP_PGM_MODE Register? What is ram mode/rom mode 1~3?

Best Regards,
Satoshi Yone

  • Hi Satoshi,

    See my comments below.
    1) No. The internal DSP cannot be simply bypassed. One flow has to be running.

    2) I would suggest customers shouldn't modify that register by themselves. PPC3 GUI will take care of that register when a particular flow is chose.
