PCM9211: PCM9211

Part Number: PCM9211

I would like to ask what will happen if 384kHz signal go to IC PCM9211? This IC only support 216 kHz only .Is it will damage the IC or nothing happen?

  • Hello Mohamad,

This will not damage the PCM9211, but the PCM9211 will not work with a 384khz signal.

  • Hi, Mohamad,

Welcome to E2E, Thanks for your interest in our products!.

The PCM9211 supports sampling rates up to 216KHz, if you provide a signal with 384KHz it is likely that the device will not be able to operate properly and a clock error might occur.

As this is not a supported sampling rate for this device, we don't have test or validation data to verify what would be the  result of operating the PCM9211 with 384KHz.
