TAS5421-Q1: Power and Audio performence

Hello,

we are planning to use TAS5421-Q1 in our product. Can you please confirm the following .

1. Per Electrical charaterstices table 6.5 Power and audio performance are provided for 4 ohms speaker.

Do you have the power and Audio performance(THD) data for 8 ohms speaker. 

2. Is there any special design consideration required with respect to EMI/EMC if i use this audio amplifier. 

3. Is it possible to set the Output Volume control ?

    Hi Raghavendran,

    1.  The TAS5421-Q1 output power for 8 ohms will be 50% the rated 4 ohm power.  THD will be similar to the 4 ohm or slightly lower.

    2,  There must be a good EMI filter on the PVDD and a good layout.  Please follow the guidance in the datasheet for the schematic and layout.

    3.  There is no volume control in this device.  There are only 4 analog gain settings.
