Hello

when we set the 2 PCM1865 Devices as 8 Channel TDM mode,  which rigsters need to be setting ?   and is there other configurations need to set?

    Hi, Jesse,

    The PCM1865 can be configured for TDM mode with 8 channels, the basic register configuration is mentioned below.  

    • The digital audio interface for TDM mode   is configured in Page 0: Register 0x0B (0x03).
    • For 8-channel TDM mode, Page 0: Register 0x0C should be set in 4ch TDM (0x01).
    • The offset of the channels is configured with Page 0: Register 0x0D and in general, only the device which will handle channels 5 to 8 will need it.

    One thing to note is that for TDM mode, the PCM1865 only accepts a BCLK of 256×Fs.

    For additional information about the TDM operation of the PCM186x devices, please refer to section 9.3.16.4 of the latest datasheet.
