TAS2560: Qualcomm new platform want use stereo 2 speakers smart amp suggestion

Hi Expert,

My customer is China big cell phone ODM company and BU had support TAS2560's project on Qualcomm platform case in there.

Now they are asking a suggestion about SDM845 platform want 2 speaker's stereo Smart amp.

I know we can suggestion them TAS2559 + TAS2560, but I want to ask if we can use two TAS2560 on that platform?

Customer will more interestion about this suggestion if they also compare with other competitors.

Hi Bruce,

I assume that customer wants to perform the SmartAmp algorithms on its host processor, am I correct?
I'll check how a stereo 2xTAS2560 solution would be implemented and will come back to you with further information.

Shanghai ODM customer had several PAD pjojects use 2 or 4 TAS2560 and can work. So I think my question stereo out will be OK!

Bruce,

Stereo 2xTAS2560 solution would be as shown in data sheet figure 49. ADDR pin is used to differentiate the I2C address for each device.
Some additional information can be found on data sheet from page 39 to 41: www.ti.com/.../tas2560.pdf
