INA1650: Balanced input to single-ended output?

How should we handle unused channels? Ground the pins?

In addition, is it possible to use the chip to take a balanced input and convert to a single-ended output?

Hi Gregory,
Both inputs on the unused channel should be tied to ground (or mid-supply in a single-supply application) for best performance. INA1650 is a differential line receiver, so can certainly be used to convert a balanced input to a single ended output. Figure 52 in the datasheet shows an example circuit using INA1650 as a receiver for a balanced input on an XLR connection.

Alex one more question: the unused input should be tied VMID(out) or VMID(IN)

Hi Abed,
The unused inputs could be tied to GND if the INA1650 is used in a split-supply configuration (as shown in figure 52). In a single supply configuration (as shown in figure 59), the unused inputs should be tied to Vmid(out).

Both outputs (Out A and Out B) are single-ended outputs.
