Linux/TLV320AIC3254: How to configure the codec for >48000 Hz sampling frequency

Part Number: TLV320AIC3254

Tool/software: Linux

Hi,

In tlv320aic32x4.c Codec driver file, Codec configuration has been given from 8000Hz to 48000Hz sampling frequency.

Could you please help me with the configuration required for the sampling frequency greater than 48KHz

Thanks & Regards,

Mounika Reddy

  • Hi, Mounika,

We are no actively supporting driver integration with these devices, but I can help on the required steps to adjust codec settings.

The configuration of the codec for higher sampling rates require a couple changes on the device initialization settings. Basically, you need to update the clock configurations and select a different processing block.

Can you share the clock settings currently used so I can provide the required changes for higher sampling rates?. Also, which processing block is used in the driver you are using?.

  • Dear,

    Thank you for the reply...!

    1. We currently configured the codec with the following clock,

        mclk - 12MHz

    2. We are using both the processing blocks of codec.

    Best Regards,

    Mounika
