TAS3251: TAS3251

Part Number: TAS3251

Hello,
I have a problem with the TAS3251 and I configure it according to my settings, which I tested with the evaluation board before. Then I send data via I2S. However, I don't get any audio output at the output, which works fine with the Eval Board. When I measure at the DAC output, I see only a very short signal after the reset amp pin is pulled to high level. Afterwards nothing changes here anymore.
Do you have an idea where that could lie? Are there any registers that I can evaluate or what I can control?
The circuit is connected to the evaluation board and controlled several times. However, I got some of the first samples...

With kind regards,
Simon

  • Hi Simon,

For the DAC status you can look at register 0x02 on page 0x00 and book 0x00. This will tell you if the DSP ins in operation, standby, or shutdown. There are a number of mutes to look after as well. One is the active low DAC_MUTE pin 45, and there are a few registers that can mute the output like register 0x03 and 0x2A on page 0x00 book 0x00, let alone DSP configuration that can stop audio output.

It would be helpful to also review the schematic. Could you email the schematic of your board for me to review?

    Thanks,
    Justin
