PCM1864: Digital Mixer

1. We don't find the CH2L/CH2R inthe GUI

2. Which register could setting this function? We use LA to find the register is 0x84, but we don't find this register in data sheet.

    Hi, Kim,

    Could you please make sure you have an EVM connected?. Channel 2L and 2R are available in the GUI once the PCM1864 or PCM1865 EVMs are detected. This is because the other EVMs (PCM1862 and PCM1863) does not have a second pair of ADCs.

    Hi Kim,

    As far as the digital mixer on the PCM186x goes, it allows post ADC mixing, as well as ADC + incoming I 2S mix. In addition, volume control functionality can be performed prior to outputting the signal.

    Regarding configuring the digital mixer, please click on DIGITAL MIXER (black box) in the panel shown in your thread and you should see the below -

    Please use this panel to configure the mixer input and volume control...

    As far as your question goes, can you please clarify regarding the register 0x84? I'm not sure what you need to do wrt this register as it does not exist. You can also give me your use case and I can probably help you with the right configuration.

    We use PCM1865/4 GUI, but we don't see so many mixers in our GUI.

    Hi Kim,

    Can you please confirm if you are using TI PCM1864 EVM?

    If YES, can you please check the marking on the device and make sure the board has the right device? The reason for this question is that the EVM is shared by all the devices in this family (PCM1860/61/62/63/64/65) and the only reason you may be seeing this is because of different device on the EVM.
