TPA3110D2: No audio output from TPA3110D2

Hi,

I've made an attempt at an audio circuit using the TPA3110D2, however I'm having issues with the output. I've made a few modifications compared to the reference design on the datasheet, like adding transformers between the input and the chip, and there seems to be no issues with that part. However, there is no audio signal coming out, I've measured the output at the terminals and it seems to show a DC voltage (around 5V). I'm probably missing something obvious but I can't seem to figure it out. I've included an image of the audio circuit schematic.

Hi Emir,

1. try to add a 100K pull up resistor on FAULT pin, that will make sure SD pin is high.
2. power up the device, and use oscillscope to monitor FAULT pin.
a) if there is any high->low transition, that means fault reported, then you need to remove output inductors one by one, to see if there is still fault.
b) if there is not high->low transition, then the AMP should work.

Hi Emir,

Look like there is something problem in the R+, L- channel output circuit in the SCH.

The output pin should be connected to the inductor directly. Please refer to the TPA3110D2 EVM board: http://www.ti.com/lit/ug/slou263b/slou263b.pdf

Thanks! That was the problem. Connected a speaker to R- and L+ and it didn't trigger the fault pin.
