TLV320AIC34: TLV320AIC34EVM USB with Windows10

Part Number: TLV320AIC34

Hi,

We try to use TLV320AIC34EVM  Evaluation Tool  with Current Version: V1.0.0 - 01 October 2007 (slac226) with Windows 10. After installation the USB is not connected. Small window tells "Connect USB" with "Retry" "Demo" and "Exit" as choice. It seems there are not the right USB drivers installed. The available drivers at TexasPage are only for Vista/XP and Win7 and cannot be installed under windows 10.

The program is working with Win7 after manual installation of the WIN7 drivers (slac521) from your product page. Because this is a  very old PC we have a need to use WIN10 Systems.

Please tell us a usable solution for this problem.

Brgds Helmut

  • Helmut,

The Driver does need to be installed in order for this GUI to work on windows 10.

at this time Windows 10 is not supported for the AIC34GUI installer, but it can work.

when you download the driver and try to install it,  The following window pops up:

you can Google recommended methods to disable this digital Signature checking, I believe you can disable it, then install the Driver, and then you can enable it again after.

    best regards,

  • Hy, Steve,

yes, that was it. It's a little bit tricky, to disable the digital Signature checking, but afterwards I could install the driver. Now I can see the USB-MODEVM as an NI-VISA USB Device and I can communicate with the Evaluation Tool.

It's working fine and I can send Sound-Inputs via the Mic of the EVM-Kit to the PC-Loudspeaker and in the other direction sounds from the PC to Devices connected to the Line-Outs of the TLV320AIC34-Codec.

Thank you very much for your assistance.

    Best regards,

    Helmut
