TLV320AIC3204: The USB- ModemEVM interface not getting detected in Windows 7

Part Number: TLV320AIC3204

I have been using the TLV320AIC3204 EVM-K for last two weeks in Windows 7. It was working correctly but all of a sudden, the board is no longer being detected and even the the USB- ModemEVM interface is showing as an 'Unknown device' in the Device Manager . I have tried uninstalling and updating the drivers but to no avail. I tried installing the NI Visa drivers as well and even tried operating the board using external power, but these methods also didn't help.

All the jumpers and switches are correctly installed as mentioned in the datasheet. is it the USB Stream controller on the USB ModemEVM interface that has stopped working or can there be any other issue which may have resulted in the board not being detected? Please guide.

  • Hi, Harsimranjit,

Welcome to E2E, thanks for your interest in our products!

It is likely that the EEPROM of the EVM, where the firmware to program the USB-audio interface is loaded, has been corrupted. In order to fix this, you can follow the indications from this post.
