Hello Team,

to optimize the channel configuration it would be helpful to have following configuration?

one channel with 85W@3Ohm 10%THD and 25V Vdd? (not in parallel mode!)

Is this possible or would this cause over current issues?

Josef,

This is too high of power and will trigger the current limit on the output. You would need to use PBTL to reach this power level.

SQRT(85/3)= 5.32Arms

5.32Arms*1.414 = 7.52Ap. The current limit on the TAS6424-Q1 is 6.5Ap Typical.

Using your calculation then 160W on 2Ω in parallel mode are feasible:

SQRT(160/2) = 8,95Arms

8,95Arms *1,414 = 12,65Ap

12,65Ap / 2 = 6,325Ap for each channel

Is this correct?

Yes, the voltage would need to be at 25.3Vdc. This would be if there are no losses. Of course, we know there is Rdson losses and DCR losses in the LC filter inductors. This would probably reduce the power to about 150W in PBTL.
The TAS6424-Q1 has a specification of 150W into 2 ohms at 25Vdc at 10% THD. .
