Linux/PCM2912A: Need PCM2912A Command Line Instruction for Android

Part Number: PCM2912A

Tool/software: Linux

Hi Sirs,

For customer's factory image, customer does not use application and audio HAL to test USB audio device, only use command line. Would you please advise the command line instruction to verify PCM2912A USB Codec's playback and record function by standard UAC  command line?

Customer's factory test program uses Android's standard UAC , customer needs Android command line to switch audio device path to  PCM2912A, which can play music and record sound through standard UAC interface.

Thank you and Best regards,

Wayne Chen

  • Hi Wayne,

As you know, PCM2912A is a USB-audio codec which uses the native USB Audio Class driver from the host Operating System. Usually, there is no need for any extra driver to operate with Linux/Windows or Android as the UAC driver should be part of the OS.

We have not supported any UAC command line calls in the past and unfortunately the team does not have the expertise in this area. We apologize for the inconvenience. The part is fully compliant with the UAC 1.0 and should be able to handle all the functionality as required by the UAC specification.

    Best regards,
    Ravi
