TLV320DAC3100: power up sequence of TLV320DAC3100

Part Number: TLV320DAC3100

Dear expert,

In DAC3100 datasheet show the power supply sequence, did we need to follow it?

I find IOVDD have leakage power when audio DAC in shutdown mode. Have you seen this issue before?

  • Hi Ben,

It is recommended to follow the suggestions from data sheet. Although if not possible, the most important thing during power-up is to release the pull-down on Reset signal at the very end, once IOVDD and DVDD are completely powered up and stable. This is to ensure that the device is initialized to a known state.

Could you elaborate about the leakage on IOVDD? Do you mean that IOVDD is consuming higher current than expected while DAC is disabled or in Reset mode?
IOVDD current consumption should be very low (most of the cases negligible) in the order of uA.

    Best regards,
