TPA3113D2: Shutdown at startup when set to minimum volume

Hello,

I am having a strange issue where when I apply power to my circuit, if my input volume is set to minimum (zero) the TPA will shut down and not restart. If I apply power with the volume turned up slightly operation is fine and I can then set the volume to minimum with no issues.

Hi Daniel,
So the FAULT is triggered when the input signal is very low, right? Did you measure the input signal when the issue occurs? Could you please help to do the following two experiments:
1. Remove R17 and connect the left end of the input cap C7 to GND. See if the issue still exists.
2. Recover the circuit. Replace the 1uF input caps C15 and C7 with 0.1uF caps. See if there is any change.

1. removed R17 and R18, grounded left side of C7, problem does not persist. connected left side of C7 to VR and problem still exists.

replacing C7 and C15 with 0.1uF seems to have fixed the issue. thanks!
