TLV320AIC3100: AOSR setting

Hi all

Would you mind if we ask TLV320AIC3100?

There is the description on the datasheet P30 and P83 as follows;
P30 "The analog-to-digital converter has a delta-sigma modulator with an oversampling ratio (AOSR) up to 128."
P83 "ADC Oversampling Value 0000 0000: ADC AOSR = 256."

Is it possible to configure AOSR=256?
Or, in case of AOSR=256, does it mean reserve setting?

This looks like a typo. Clearly the AOSR can be 256. I will confirm with design team and get back to you.

Matsumoto-san,

The TLV320AIC3100 is a variant of other TLV320AIC31xx devices, Some of these devices are limited to simple Audio processing blocks, and others like the TLV320AIC3111 have a fully programmable Mini-DSP.

For the devices that have the fully programmable mini-DSP the Decimation filters support AOSR=256. However with the variants that use processing blocks, the devices are limited to 3 decimation filters that support specific AOSR values. Filter A supports the highest AOSR rate which is 128. Thus for the TLV320AIC3100, 128 is the highest supported AOSR.
