TLV320DAC3100: I2C address in TLV320DAC3100

Part Number: TLV320DAC3100
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TLV320AIC3106

Hello

I'm using two TLV320DAC3100(Each in mono configuration) in my project. The I2C address is fixed for this device as per datasheet (0011000). As I'm using two TLV320DAC3100 I wanted to understand how this I2C address conflict is to be managed?

Please help me out in this concern.

Regards

Nidhi P Shetty

  • Hello, Nidhi,

Unfortunately, our DAC devices only support one I2C address (0011000 as you mentioned).

For cases where the users require of an additional I2C address, we recommend to use an I2C Bus Switch to separate the I2C communication lines. You may take a look at the following device: www.ti.com/.../pca9543a.pdf

Additionally, you may take a look at our TLV320AIC3106. This is an audio CODEC with the capability to support up to 4 slave addresses.

    Best regards,
