TPA3132D2: PLIMIT

Part Number: TPA3132D2

Hi Team,

Customer wants to limit the power to 20W in PBTL mode, 4 ohms for speaker, 24V PVDD. THD at 1%.

So I am thinking to limit the power to somewhere 23W, at THD 10%. If this is reasonable to do so.

Please kindly provide me the pull up and pull down resistor suggested value, thanks!

    Hi Andrew,

    I think this info is already included in the datasheet. If the unclipped power is limited to 20W, the output power reach around 1.25*20=25W.

    Please calculate the Vp volage with the formula in the section 7.3.4 in the datasheet. The voltage on the PLIMIT is 1/4*Vp. This voltage is divided by the resistors from GVDD(~7V). This is a rough calculation, you still need to fine tune the resistor value on your board.
