SRC4190: Can SRC4190 support a fixed 48K output?

Part Number: SRC4190

Hi,

Please confirm if SRC4190 can support a fixed 48K output and how?  the input data rate need to support from 44.1K to 192K. thanks.

  • Hi, Yue,

I have asked my colleague in charge of this device to take a look to your question, due Holidays he is out but will get back to you early next week.

  • Hi Yue,

    Happy New Year.

Regarding the application you are interested in, I would like to clarify couple of things -

    - when you say fixed 48kHz output, are you eluding to the fact that you have variable sampling rate input (44.1 to 192kHz) and you want fixed output of 48kHz fs?

    - if yes, can you please let me know if you want to run the input and output ports in Master or Slave mode?

For ex: if you want to run the output port in SLAVE mode, you can achieve the fixed 48kHz fs by setting LRCK to 48kHz.

Please let me know additional details and I can provide you the complete configuration for your application.

    Best regards,
    Ravi

  • Ravi,
Thanks for the reply and happy new year to you too !!!
yes. the input is variable and expect a fixed output. according to your feedback , Does this mean there will be no problem if output port work in SLAVE mode? so far as know, SRC4190 will be put in the middle of two DSPs to convert the data rate of I2S. Let me check and get back to you.
