I have new project is looking for digital microphone input (PDM) to USB interface for computer application.

Is there any recommended device?

    Welcome to E2E!.

    We have a couple devices which features a PDM Digital mic interface to capture audio, but unfortunately, none of them have a USB interface integrated.

    Thank you for your reply. But I have other ideas.
    PDM mic interface converter digital into analog , and connector to PCM2912 .
    But will it work in practice ?

    Hi,

    Yes, this approach would work, but from the application point of view, you can just use an analog mic with the PCM2912A and send the data through USB. If using a DMIc is mandatory, you can use an audio codec, such as TLV320AIC3204 which has DMIC interface built in to capture the data from the mic and playback through the line outputs (the codec features direct ADC-DAC interface option), then use the PCM2912A to capture the analog output from the codec and stream it through USB.
