Hi Team

My customer wants to find 1:4 audio splitter as below.

If they use TLV320AIC3104IRHB, can they get solution?

('Audio in' is MIC Input.)

Charles,

Do they need an ADC or DAC? the TLV320AIC3104 will do this... but its honestly a bit overkill for this. Is there a reason you chose the AIC3104?

Hi Steve.

They will not use ADC/DAC functions.

They don't find the solution as above block.

If you have another solution, could you recommend it?

Charles,

Do they need individual control over the 4 channels? do they need the PGA functionality? if its just a splitter, why not just use opamps,

Hi Steve.

Yes. They need individual control each other.
They don't need PGA and AMP.
It need only splitter function of MIC signal.
If possible, they want to recommend one-chip solution and small package.
They don't find one-chip solution, So they were considering the TLV320AIC3104.
If you do not have a one-chip solution, suggest a better solution.

Charles,

There are typical applications circuits in the Datasheet. Your customer would obviously not need all of the inputs/outputs. the unused inputs can be tied together and terminating to gnd with a0.47uf capacitor. the unused outputs can remain floating. .

lets say they use LINE2L,LINE2R, Line1RP and LINE1LP for the inputs and HPLOUT as the output:

# enable line2L/R inputs. route to PGA_L gain = 0dB
w 30 11 00
# enable line1LP, route to PGA_L gain = 0dB
w30 13 00
# enable line1RP, route to PGA_L gain = 0dB
w 30 15 00

PGA_L unmute. gain = 0dB
w 30 0F 00

#Route PGA_L to HPLOUT
w 30 2E 80

# power up HPLOUT, unmute
w 30 33 09

Your proposed solution is to combine four inputs into one output.
The customer wants to distribute one input to four outputs.
Please suggest circuit design and register setting.

my mistake, here is a configuration that routes Line1LP to HPLOUT, HPROUT, HPLCOM and HPRCOM

# enable line1LP, route to PGA_L gain = 0dB

PGA_L unmute. gain = 0dB
w 30 0F 00

# configure HPLCOM as an independent single ended output
w 30 25 20
# configure HPRCOM as an independent single ended output
w 30 26 10

#Route PGA_L to HPLOUT
w 30 2E 80

# power up HPLOUT, unmute
w 30 33 09

#Route PGA_L to HPLCOM
w 30 35 80

# power up HPLOUT, HPLCOM
