Linux/TLV320ADC3100: register configuration

Part Number: TLV320ADC3100

Tool/software: Linux

Dear Sir,

I need your help to provide the register configuration.

In my audio system. There is a microphone input to  TLV320ADC3100 IN2L(P) pin. IN3L(M), IN2R(P) , IN3R(M) are floating.  Then, I2S output to SoC.

I2S is standard mode like below image, and I am sure that SoC can feed 3.072MHz BCLK and 48KHz LRCLK to TLV320ADC3100.

According to the example register setup in the datasheet. Except to above setup, there are more setups such as processing block, MICBIAS and MICPGA...etc.

I am not sure how to determine these setups. So could you please provide the right configuration for me, thanks.

Thanks.

Brian

  • Hi, Brian,

Welcome to E2E, thanks for your interest in our products!

In order to start with the configuration and register settings for the ADC3100, I would recommend you to take  a look to the evaluation software for the ADC3101 EVM, which is a sibling part with same features, blocks and performance as the ADC3100, but with different number of inputs and Digital mic support. On this evaluation software (GUI), you could find some example scripts to configure the ADC in different operation modes, which are more extended than the example code in the datasheet. These scripts can be used as reference for your end-application configuration.
