Hello,

how can the power dissipation of TS3A225E be estimated ?

Can you provide a formula to calculate an estimated power dissipation figure based on supply voltages and currents of a given application ?

I want to use it for a thermal estimation.

    Martin,

    There two parts to the power dissipation equation.

    1) the power going to the IC (Vdd and Idd)

    2) the power going through each switch P=(I^2)(R).  In this case there are 2 switches one for Mic and one for ground.

    Pmax = (Vddmax)(Iddmax) + [(Imic)^2(Ron)] + [(Ignd)^2(Ron)] 

    Pmax = (4.5V)(10uA) + [(Imic)^2(10 ohm)] + [(Ignd)^2 (0.1 ohms)]
