TPA3221: How about the TPA3221 OLP/OCP function define

HI Sir

I use the TPA3221 to be a inverter for driver 100w output

1. The data sheet show the 100w output, that's is a peak power or average power?

2.when I use single channel input, the TPA3221 can driver 260w(monitor the input power * input current) ,but when i use dual channel, the power only 390w, then the ic protectd

how about the OCP rule in one channel or two channel input?

Could you let me know the OLP ,OCP protect rule?

Hi Alex,
Let's start with the two points you made:

1. That would be power at 10% THD level for BTL mode.
2. What do you mean by IC protected? Are you seeing an overtemperature event happening?

Hi Alex,

There are a number of factors involved with what is defined with the "maximum power output". The devices can output 105W to a 4ohm load (10% THD) in BTL mode but it won't continuously be able to output that power level.
