TAS5751M: Can TAS5751M be connected in parallel to drive 1 Ohm speaker ?

Both 5751 operate in PBTL mode and the register configuration is identical.

If the PWM output of the 5751 is not simultaneous, additional power consumption will be generated.

I want to know if the PWM output of the two 5751 is at the same time？If not, what is the maximum time error？

what is application senario to use two TAS5751 to drive 1ohm load? there is concern of thermal and peak current trigger OC. TI have some high power device for selection.

Because the woofer is 4 parallel, each resistor is 4 ohms. The DC resistance of the inductor is 90mOhm, which will average the current of each channel, and the total current is less than 15A, so the possibility of OC is not big. The key is that the PWM output should be at the same time!
if the PWM output of each 5751 can be guaranteed at the same time?

Why not just two amps with each two woofers?

Because the speaker has only two input lines。

PWM signals are obtained from 5751 DCLK frequency division, and DCLK locks MCLK through PLL.

If give the same MCLK, the two 5751 DCLK should be aligned with only small jitters. After passing the inductor, this error should not cause problems. The question is, is there anything similar to FIFO in the internal processing of 5751 that causes the delay uncertainty of PWM to LRCK, such as 10 DCLK and 9 DLCK?

Hi Customer,

Please refer to page 19 for general contents. I think internal clocks and PWM will align with MCLK if a shared MCLK is used.

It will be helpful to have a test in your system.
