TLV320DAC3101: Digital Microphone

You can use TLV320DAC3203. This device has dedicated digital mic interface that use ADC decimation, and this data can also be looped back to the DAC internally.

Hi Jerry,

There are some differences between DMIC PCM and I2S.
I2S data comes grouped in words, thus WCLK is needed to let the interface know when a new set of data is coming in.
DMIC PCM is a real time-like signal where every CLK transition is used to sample the signal at that instant. Data is not actually grouped in words. In addition DMIC PCM uses both CLK edges (rising and falling) to separate left and right channels, this is not the same for I2S. And also the decimation filter is needed when DMIC PCM is used.

I hope this helps to understand why I2S interface cannot be used to sample DMIC data.
