TI Smart Amp use advanced speaker protection algorithm to implement excellent audio performance. We highly recommend studying the reference materials under the TAS5766M / TAS5825M product folder. For example, http://www.ti.com/lit/an/slaa625d/slaa625d.pdf.

Regarding the difference between these two devices, TAS5825M is using the next generation DSP algorithm which improves the speaker excursion protection precision.
