TAS3251: I2C registers map

Hi TI.

I was very surprised that the I2C register map in PurePath Console3 for the TAS3251EVM board does not match the register map in the TAS3251 datasheet (SLASEG6A –MAY 2018–REVISED NOVEMBER 2018).

And indeed there are a lot of differences: ppc3 register 5 does not exist in the datasheet, register 6 doesn't hold the same bits, register 0x77 doesn't hold the same bits etc. etc.

After doing some trials on the TAS3251EVM it seems that the datasheet is wrong and the ppc3 map is correct, but maybe it is more complicated..

So:

- who is right? ppc3 or TAS3251 datasheet?

- is there an up-to-date document holding the correct registers, their format and values at reset?

Hi Louis,

Thanks for bringing this to our attention. Continue using the PPC3 as the correct one. I believe that one is likely the most accurate. I'll take a look at seeing what other registers are off or missing.

Some of the registers are likely different (like register 0x77) because they are read only registers. Whatever conditions are being changed to trigger bits changing in these registers are likely happening.
