TLV320AIC3106: Does it support 6 audio input together ?

Part Number: TLV320AIC3106

Dear all

      I have six channels audio inputs to the device, two of inputs are MIC, four of inputs are coming from camera, but I have some questions about this device,as below:

      1. Does TLV320AIC3106 deal with six audio inputs together ? So that loss any audio input.

      2. Does the MIC3R and MIC3L pins connect to the MIC?

    1. The TLV320AIC3106 can accept 6 inputs at once. You are probably already aware that there are only 2 ADCs so your digital output will of course be a mix of the inputs.
    2. you can connect any of the input pins to microphones. its up to you.

          I don't understand,  only 2 ADCs, that means accepting 2 inputs one times?

    2.  You said can accept 6 inputs, how to deal with 6 inputs from 2 ADC ?

    Went,

    1. Please refer to the data sheet for all sorts of useful information about this device.  

    I've attached a functional block diagram that came from the Datasheet see below:

    as you can see there are 2 ADCs and 6 inputs.  The inputs can be summed or switched.  so you can have 6 analog inputs,  but there are always only 2 digital outputs.  hopefully this is clear?

           Thanks your detail reply, but I think there is only one that I can not understand.

           You said "The inputs can be summed or switched", does it mean that only deal with 2 inputs at one time ? not deal with  6 inputs at one time ?

    "Deal with"  is not really a technical term and is quite broad in terms of what it means.   The AIC3106 can "deal with" all 6 inputs at once in that it can sum the 6 inputs, or switch between the 6 inputs to provide 2 digital output channels,  however it can not provide 6 individual digital outputs for each of those inputs.
