LM1875: Output issue under high temperature test

Part Number: LM1875

LM1875T/NOPB

Actually, we want to ask a question about LM1875 specification. Please support.

We try to design speaker amplifier with specification as below:

- Power Output : 20 W

- ±B Voltage     : 25V

- Load                    : 4 Ω

Unfortunately, when we implement temperature rise test, the Output of Power is running OFF and ON repeatedly.

At those time, we set the Output to 12W (Vo=7V, R=4Ω).

And the temp rise is about 88 at LM1875’s case (die).

We check to your specification, at thermal protection mentioned that LM1875 will shut down when the temp rise reaches 170.

For the matter, please teach us the detail of proper usage of LM1875 IC.

Please support and thank you.
