TAS5805M: difference between AGL and AGC

Part Number: TAS5805M

Hi team,

I'm new in this area and doing some leaning together with customer.

I read about the answer of this post: https://e2e.ti.com/support/audio/f/6/t/729183?TAS5805M-what-is-the-difference-between-AGL-DRC-AGC-

but I'm still confused about the difference between AGC and AGL. Is it that AGC deals with input and AGL deals with output?

The way I understand AGC, is that when the input signal amplitude (or loudness) varies too wide so we control the gain to get the acceptable range, so the AGC function is only on analog input amplifiers like in TPA series but not in digital amplifiers like in TAS series, am I right? please correct me if not.

If yes, for digital amplifiers, what if the source signal loudness varies  too wide? what can we do to make better?

Thank you very much!

George
