Linux/TAS5766M: Linux Driver

I have a customer who wants to use the TAS5766 in an Audio Speaker running off an ARM32 linux based computer. They want to have almost 50 separate EQ settings! To begin, they first need a Linux based driver. I've already referred them to the following post which has a linux based driver for the TAS5766:

However, the e2e post above states that the driver is kept as simple as possible and its major purpose is to show how to integrate a header file generated by PPC3.. Not sure if this is the best fit for the customer but again its a good starting point. I'm anticipating follow-up questions so this post is somewhat preemptive in that I'm trying to understand if we have any additional Linux based drivers that would more readily support their design efforts.

Hi John,

Your mentioned e2e thread is absolutely a good start point, then customer only needs to generate specific DAP configuration by using PPC3 to replace the sample download script part.

Andy will follow up this thread once further help needed.

Hi John,

If my understanding is correct, your customer probably wants to load their EQ settings on the fly. If so, your customer needs to add additional code to the driver to take care of that. Send me an email if your customer wants to know more details.
