PCM2900C: 1kHz noise in audio output

Part Number: PCM2900C

Hello there,

I use a PCM2900C in a WIndows 10 and I have one issue.

I'm having trouble with the PCM2900C, I get an unwanted 1 kHz sound in the output. This noise appears when I play some audio in Windows 10, but it are manteined even when sound is muted.

I've tried making some modifications on the design of my board (e.g. Get the bypass capacitors closer to the board, making wider traces, change the routing, filtering the VBUS trace, check the ground plane, etc...) but couldn't get the output sound to go away. I tried to connect the input of the opamp's filter to ground and the noise disappeared. Is this a known problem?

I think that is a driver problem, because I checked a Errata about PCM290x, and in this document and it said that have a problem with the 16 bits codec. I use the default windows driver (USB AUDIO CODEC), but in configurations of the audio channel, the option of 8 bits (recommended in the errata)not appears. This IC needs of a specific driver? Could you send for me?

Best Regards,
