PCM4104: Gain error

Hi Team,

May I know the minimum and maximum value of gain error in PCM4104? We need this data to calculate the system accuracy. If you have gain error vs. Vcc curve, that would also a good data, much thanks.

    This is a little more complicated. There are two components to the system accuracy: the VCOM accuracy and the amplitude accuracy. The VCOM voltage is created by a voltage divider between VCC and GND. This is a simple resistor divider, so we specify 1mV error with an ideal 5V supply. That can translate to about 0.04%. So VCOM accuracy can be considered to be ((100%×VCC×0.5)/2.5V)±0.04%.

    The amplitude of the output is also determined by a resistor divider from VREF+ and VREF-. In the PDS we are stating that the accuracy of the resistor divider is 0.5%, and that error is probably distributed across all the resistors, so that is why it is %FSR, instead of just %.

    So Gain Error could be expressed as: GE = 100%×(((VREFH-VREFL)/5V)-1)±0.5%

    The error created by the inaccuracies of the VREF and VCC supplies are scaled exactly by the resistor dividers.
