TAS5825M: Can the GPIO configure as Open Drain?

My customer like to utilize the GPIO as Fault indication and for some reasons Open Drain is preferable. Could you confirm the GPIO can be configured as Open Drain and which register to configure it?

which TAS5825 GPIO pin you need open_Drain? what is purpose for this? it maybe share detailed application background.

Hi Linda

More than one devices will be used to share the GPIO configured as Fault. It is ideal to use Open Drain port to connect to each other.

In the statement in the spec, it did mention about Open Drain option. Could you advise how to configure it?

GPIO can’t configured as Open Drain for Tas5825. need update datasheet.

sorry correct comments,

when it configured as FAULTZ/WARZ, it is open_drain. used as SDOUT, it is not open_Drain.

HI Kelvin,

As Linda mentioned, when GPIO is set to FAULTz/WARNINGz, then the default setting is Open Drain. Other GPIO configuration is set to CMOS.

What's more, these default settings can't be manually changed.
